AC/DC - October 21, 2009 - Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, PA

Wachovia Center before AC/DC hit the stage.
My second concert, coming in a little longer than 5 years since my first, was AC/DC. It was AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour in support of their album Black Ice and the first tour since the Stiff Upper Lip World Tour in 2000-01. It was the last tour with guitarist Malcolm Young who left the band in 2014 due to health illness. The tour ended up being the most successful by AC/DC, grossing about $441.1 million, making it the fourth highest-grossing concert tour of all time behind Rodger Waters' The Wall Live, The Rolling Stones' The Bigger Bang Tour, and U2's U2 360° Tour. Across the street at Citizens Bank Park, at the same time of the concert, the Philadelphia Phillies were playing the Los Angeles Dodgers in game 5 of the NLCS. The Phillies would go on to win the game 10-4 and advance to the 2009 World Series against the New York Yankees. We left the concert during the encore to beat the traffic from the game.
